Residents associations¶
Firstport manages all Catford Green buildings and the wider estate. Resident associations help coordinate issues, escalate repairs, and keep communication clear between neighbours and Firstport.
Current status¶
- Existing: Dixie Court residents' association (add contact/join link).
- Forming: other courts are encouraged to start their own groups. Share your details on your court page once set up.
How to start an association¶
- Find interested neighbours (owners and tenants). Use block WhatsApp groups, notice boards, or door drops.
- Agree a few priorities (repairs, grounds care, security, comms with Firstport).
- Elect three roles: chair, secretary, treasurer. Keep roles light but accountable.
- Set a shared channel (WhatsApp/Signal) for quick chat and an email for formal notes.
- Meet briefly (even online). Keep short minutes and share with residents and Firstport.
- Register a contact with Firstport so they know who to reach for building-wide matters.
What to publish on your court page¶
- Association name.
- Contact email or join link (e.g., WhatsApp invite).
- Meeting cadence and how to attend.
- Current priorities and any open actions.
Templates you can copy¶
- Intro note to residents: who you are, why the association exists, how to join.
- Meeting note headings: date, attendees, issues raised, actions, owners.
- Contact footer: chair, secretary, treasurer + shared email.
